Maria Viniam, BSN, RN, CSN
Maria Viniam is a compassionate Registered Nurse and certified School Nurse whose career reflects an unwavering commitment to service, prevention, and equity in healthcare. She currently serves as the elementary school nurse at Belleville School 5, where she provides vital care for students from PreK through grade 6, ensuring that every child has the support needed to learn and thrive.
Beyond her clinical responsibilities, she serves as Head Teacher, supervises bus duty, and extends her impact through the BUCS evening program and the Extended School Year program. Her work goes far beyond routine care—she is a steady advocate for children’s health, a mentor for colleagues, and a trusted presence for families navigating health and wellness challenges.
Maria’s dedication is rooted in a humanitarian spirit that values dignity, compassion, and equity for all. She views nursing as both a profession and a calling, where service to others creates stronger communities and lasting change. Through her daily actions, she exemplifies the belief that quality healthcare and education are fundamental rights, not privileges, and she works tirelessly to ensure those she serves have access to both.
